Growing up with my grandmother and great-grandmother in Montserrat shaped me in ways I am still discovering. When I put this look together, I was chasing that feeling — trying to bottle something from a childhood that feels both close and far away. Montserrat is called the Emerald Isle of the Caribbean. The only place outside Ireland where St. Patrick's Day is a national public holiday. But what happens there is unlike anything you will find anywhere else. It is a ten-day celebration. A living, breathing festival where Irish heritage meets African roots — and where the legacy of a slave rebellion is honoured right alongside it. That is what makes it so extraordinary.
